Volunteering gives you a chance to make a difference in the community that you live in. The animal shelter serves the citizens of Walker and select neighboring counties; we are in need of volunteers to help with the daily work tasks at the animal shelter and also with fundraising. If you would like to support the animal shelter but you cannot afford to donate money, then you can donate your time instead. Volunteering will also give you the opportunity to meet people who have similar interests and to make new friends of all ages. You might also meet contacts while volunteering that could result in a future internship or job. Please volunteer - make a difference at the animal shelter and in the community!
