Mission Statement:
Our mission is to preserve the lives and well being of animals through adoption, rescue, spaying and neutering, and education. We serve the citizens of Walker and the surrounding counties, and we strive to protect the health, safety, and welfare of animals, children and citizens who reside in these communities.
Pet of the Week:
"My name is River. I'm a brindle and white 2 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix. I have already been spayed and am heartworm negative!!"
"I am probably one of the sweetest dogs around (or so I'm told). I was brought to the Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter because we didn't have a fenced in yard where I lived and I tend to chase cars and bite at the tires. I know that's not a safe thing to do, but it suuuure is FUN!"
"I am a very smart and loyal dog....I walk on a leash and love car rides (as long as their not to the vet). I think you really need to come by and see me. They will let you have me for $85, which covers the heartworm test, spaying, shots and microchip. I can assure you I'll make a great companion."
