Mission Statement:
Our mission is to preserve the lives and well being of animals through adoption, rescue, spaying and neutering, and education. We serve the citizens of Walker and the surrounding counties, and we strive to protect the health, safety, and welfare of animals, children and citizens who reside in these communities.
Pet of the Week:
"It's kitten season!!! Black kittens, white kittens, grey kittens, calico kittens......kittens with long tails, kittens with no tails....boy kittens, girl kittens......and we all need homes!!! June is adopt-a-cat month. This would be a great time to take one (or more) of us home."
"The Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter will have some specials going on to make it a little easier on the checkbook!"
"The $75 adoption fee includes a feline leukemia test, first kitten shot, wormer, spay or neuter, rabies vaccination and a microchip. Since we are so little and have to wait to come back for the surgery, there is an extra $50 deposit that you get back when you bring us in."
"Come take a look at all the many of us! We're at 530 Bearkat Blvd. in Huntsville, across from Bowers Stadium. By the way, if anyone has an old laptop they would like to donate to the animal shelter, it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you very much!!
