Our
Mission Statement:
For
citizens of Walker and surrounding counties, Rita B. Huff Humane
Society strives to preserve the lives and well being of all animals
through adoption, rescue, spaying and neutering, and education. Our
ultimate goal is that all adoptable animals that come through our doors
find loving and caring homes.
Pets
of the Week:
"Good
morning! We are the Shiba Inu Family. There's mom "Goma" and dad
"Dreamcatcher" in the back, and the three girls "Snowball,"
"Powderpuff" and "Rosie" up front. We're originally from Japan, where
Shiba Inu means "small dog," but we're actually around 15 inches tall
and weigh 20-22 pounds!"
"Mom
is 5 years old, dad is 6 and the girls are 3 years. We make great
family pets since we have a lively and playful personality. We also
make good, but not over-noisy, watchdogs. Another one of our traits is
that we like to stay clean. We lick our paws like cats do and if we see
a puddle, we tend to walk around it instead splashing through it.
I'm at 530 Bearkat Blvd. here in Huntsville."
"We're
all looking for a good, permanent homes, so come and visit us at the
Rita B. Huff Animal Shelter at 530 Bearkat Blvd., take us home!!"
